CROOKSVILLE - Loretta R. Savage Wilson Eveland, 89 of Midland and Clare, Mich., and Crooksville, died at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Brittany Manor in Midland, Mich., after an extended illness. The daughter of the late Clarence and Clara Colborn Savage, she was born on Aug. 15, 1917, in Crooksville, where she was raised and educated. On June 27, 1942, she married Ronald E. Wilson who preceded her in death in August 1989. She later married Robert Eveland on Aug. 6, 1993, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2005. Since 1951, she owned and operated Loretta's Beauty Shop in Clare, Mich., retiring in 1975. She spent many of her retirement years traveling between Clare, Crooksville and Florida. Loretta was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church in Crooksville and a 50-plus year member of the Carnation Chapter 167 Order of Eastern Star. She is survived by sons, Ronald (Terry) Wilson of Beaverton, Mich., Rick (Linda) Wilson of Midland, Mich., and Gary (Robin) Morrison of Roseville, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by a stepson, Larry K. Wilson; and 13 brothers and sisters. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Goebel Funeral Home, 36 N. Buckeye St., in Crooksville. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2007, with the Rev. James M. (Rocky) Morrison officiating. Burial will follow.
