DEATHS AND FUNERALS
Houston, Tex., Nov. 15 - Oliver Longley, a young man who had been at St. Joseph's infirmary a few days, died last night of a congestive chill. He came from Milano here for the purpose of having an operation performed, which was to have been done this week. His father was notified immediately of his death and reached here today. The funeral was conducted this afternoon from the infirmary and the body was buried in Magnolia cemetery."

James L. Hunter, who has been a resident of Fort Wayne for more than sixty years, died yesterday at his home, 153 Hayden street, from paralysis. Mr. Hunter was sixty nine years of age and came to this city when a boy of seven. He was a widely known and prominent member of Sion S. Bass post, G.A.R. Surviving him are the widow and five children - John L. Hunter, Mrs. Dr. Blewend, of St. Louis; Mrs. Mary Emerick, George F. Hunter, and Miss Matilda Hunter. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock from the residence, Rev. Wagenhals officiating.
