Bunn DeWitt Albright, 81, died at his home, 524 Kemper Rd., at 6:40 a.m. yesterday after being in declining health for the past two years. He was born in Alamanco County, N.C., Feb 25, 1889, son of the late William A. Albright and Emma Wilson Albright. Most of his life had been spent in Danville where he was a charter member and senior elder of Bethany Presbyterian Church on Kemper Rd. He also served as superintendent of the Sunday School and taught the Men's Bible Class for 40 years. A former employe of Dan River Mills and Coca-Cola Bottling Co., he was married to Ardene McPeak on May 10, 1912. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and two sons; Mrs. Kathleen A. Jeffreys of Danville and Mrs. Frances A. Jones of Cheraw, S.C., James M. Albright of Danville and Chief Petty Officer John P. Albright of Vietnam; one sister, Mrs. L. H. Carter of Danville; and nine grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. at Bethany Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Schoolfield Cemetery. The body is at Townes Funeral Home and the family is at the residence, 524 Kemper Rd.
