ST. GEORGE, Utah - Horace William Jamison, age 94, passed away
quietly at home on Friday, April 15, 2005, in St. George. He was
born on December 8, 1910, in Cove, Utah, the first of five sons, to
William Flavius and Ethel Titensor Jamison. He lived in Pocatello,
Idaho until 1923, when his family moved to California. He graduated
from Venice High School in Mar Vista, California, then attended UCLA
and the University of Southern California Medical School, where he
received his MD degree in 1936. He practiced radiology in Los Angeles
for the next forty years, except for a four-year-period of military
service during WWII at the Santa Ana Army Air Base Regional Hospital.
Horace married Bernice Tyler August 27, 1938, in Mar Vista,
California and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple August 11,
1939. Since he was a quiet person and she very outgoing, he loved to
have her at his side at church, at social gatherings and in their
extensive travels. He also loved to listen to classical music, take
photographs, play with his grandchildren and read and condense great
books. He completed nine volumes of collected abridgements on a
variety of subjects. Surviving family include his wife, Bernice
(St. George); three children, Lowell Tyler Jamison (Glendale, CA),
Janelle Leona Jamison Jarvis (Provo, UT) and Kent Douglass Jamison
(St. George); 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two brothers
and one half-brother, John P. Jamison (Bountiful, UT), Steven L.
Jamison (Los Altos, CA), and Gary Jamison (Huntington Beach, CA). He
was preceded in death by two brothers and two half-brothers. Funeral
services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. at the
Bloomington 6th Ward Chapel, 3519 Manzanita Rd., St. George, UT.
Family and friends may gather prior to the services from 11:30 a.m.
to 12:30 p.m. at the Chapel. Interment will follow the services at
the Tonaquint Cemetery. Arrangements are made under the direction
of Spilsbury Mortuary, 110 S. Bluff St., St. George, UT,

LOREN E. JACKSON
The funeral for Loren E. Jackson, 89, will be at 10 am Friday at
Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Gary Maness will officiate.
Burial will be in the Enid Cemetery under direction of Ladusau-Evans
Funeral Home. He was born May 26, 1905, in Atlanta, Kansas, to
Mr. and Mrs. Carl S. Jackson and died Monday, August 1, 1994, at the
Crescent Nursing Home in Crescent. He lived most of his life in Enid
and had worked for his father in highway construction company. On
April 10, 1926, he married Grace Mae Sidwell. She died December 1,
1992. Jackson drove an Enid City Bus for eight years, worked for
Geis Mills and later drove a truck for George E. Falling Company from
where he retired. He was a member of Cedar Ridge Wesleyan Church.
Surviving are two sons, the Rev. Leon E. Jackson of Blackwell and the
Rev. Carl Jackson of Marshall; eight grandchildren; and eleven
great grandchildren." His wife Grace M. Sidwell Jackson, his father
Carl Jackson and his mother Olive Jackson are also buried there.

Flossie M. Sidey, 86, died at 10:29 a.m. at Joint Twp. District
Memorial Hosptial, St. Marys. She was born July 2, 1913, in Gutman
to Joseph C. and Bertha Pauline Smith Schaub. She married Charles E.
Sidey, who died Jan. 19, 1969. Mrs. Sidey was a homemaker. She was
a retired laundry department employee at Joint Twp. District
Memorial Hospital and a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
Survivors include five sons, Wiliam (Nancy) of Spencerville, C.
Ray (Carolynn) and Bert E. (Jeanie) both of Wapakoneta, Jim
(Jeanie) of Roseland, Fla. and Tommy Joe of Lima; three daughters,
Hattie (Edward) Reynolds and Ruth (John) Sweigart both of
Wapakoneta, and Fredricka Howell of Cridersville; a brother,
Joseph of Lakeview; a sister, Josephine of Wapakoneta; 13
grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by three brothers, Lewis,Marion and Charles Schaub; a sister,
Pauline; and two grandchildren. Services will begin at 10 a.m.
Monday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The Rev. Carl
Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Buckland Cemetery. Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethlehem Christian Union
Church.
