Ralph (Dutch) Meissner, 71, of 61 Southard Ave., died at 6:55 p.m.
Thursday at his home following a two year illness. Mr. Meissner was born Sept. 10, 1905 in Zanesville and was a life long resident. He retired from the Line Material Company in 1968 after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church. His father Carl Meissner preceded him in death. Surviving are his mother, Lena Rush Meissner of 910 Lindbergh Ave.; his widow, the former Virginia Minor whom he married July 3, 1928; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Nancy) Williamson of 3640 Coopermill Rd.; Mrs. Joe (Sally) Batross of 1445 Maple View Dr. and Mrs. Tom (Bonnie) Gorsky of Dresden Rt. 2. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Kennith (Marry Lou) Graham of 904 Lindbergh Ave.; one aunt, Mrs. Buulah Kussmaul of Duncan Falls; one uncle, Herbert (Dutch) Meissner of Muskingum County Hospital; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Hillis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. -- Pd. Notice

William F Savage, 67, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Sunday at 4:45 p.m. at his home, 828 South Lawn av. The retired mine electrician was born in Zanesville, May 8, 1894, a son of John and Racheal E. Peebles Savage. On March 1, 1922, he was married to Hilda Shroyer, who survives. Other suvivors include two sons. Ward of New Concord Route 1 and Wayne of Route 3; six grandchildren; one brother, Rev. Eugene Savage, Jelloway, and one sister, Mrs. Anna Snell, Newcomerstown. Two brothers are deceased. A World War I veteran, Mr. Savage was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran church. Services at the Dawson Funeral home will be conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. by Rev. Olan Aughbaugh. Burial will be in South Lawn cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 and until time of services Tuesday. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
