Eugene Maneely, 54, of 24 Ceramic avenue, lifelong resident of Zanesville, was dead on arrival at Newark City Hospital Saturday afternoon after suffering a heart attack while visiting friends there. Mr. Maneely was born August 8, 1909, a son of Robert Sr. and Mae Lannon Maneely. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church; Sertoma Club; American Legion, and a veteran of World War II. He was employed as a salesman for the Commercial Printing Company. Surviving are his widow, the former Ann Longley of the home; his mother, Mrs. Robert Maneely Sr., of 306 Eighth street; three brothers, Clarence of Columbus, Robert Jr. of Melody Lake, and Francis of 302 Chwiah street; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Yahn of Palm Desert, Calif.; several nieces and nephews. The body was taken to the Putnam Chapel of Bolin and Bryan Funeral Home where friends may call after 6 p.m. today. Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Services will be held at St. Thomas Church at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
