Katherine Longley - Hubbard church member was formerly of Sharon
Katherine Longley, Masury, formerly of 500 Harley Way, Sharon, died Wednesday evening (12-10-00) in O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, following a lengthy illness. She was 88. Mrs. Longley was born May 27, 1912, in Sharon to Frank and Mary Treml Bayer. She attended Sharon High School and was a clerk for 15 years at what is now Dairy Mart, Masury. Mrs. Longley was a member of Corner House Christian Church, Hubbard. Her husband, Frank E. Longley, whom she married in 1933, died June 20, 1972. Surviving are: four sons, William F., Hubbard; Dan D., Universal City, Texas; J. Patrick, Hartford; and Gary A., Smyrna, Tenn.; two brothers, Joseph Bayer, Hermitage; and Nick Bayer, Clark; four sisters, Mrs. Colin (Eva) Wansor and Mrs. Steve (Helen) Benes, both Sharon; and Mrs. Anthony (Theresa) DeGerolamo and Mrs. Gene (Mary Ann) Bonanni, both Hermitage; 13 grandchildren; and 23 great-grand-children. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Frances Ruth "Ginger," who died in 1977; and three brothers, Frank, Jack and Anton. Memorial contributions may be made to Corner House Christian Church, 954 Chestnut Ridge Road N.E., Hubbard 44425.
