Mrs. Elva Howell Harris, 67, of Vesta, died Monday at her home. She was the daughter of the late Emmett Howell and Nora Knowles, and was the wife of the late Russell Harris. She retired from J. P. Stevens Co. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Susan Booth of Vesta; three sisters, Mrs. Annie Helms of Vesta, Mrs. Myrtle Gregory of Spencer and Mrs. Alpha Campenella of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother, Bill Howell of Martinsville; and one grandson. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Knowles Eden cemetery at Meadows of Dan.

Mrs. Lottie Crossley, 44, of 729 Vine St., died at 8:25 a.m. Monday at County Memorial Hospital, where she had been admitted Sunday evening. She had managed the Playhouse Restaraunt on South Sixth St. for the past six years. She was born Dec. 10, 1922 at McMaken, W. Va., a daughter of Mrs. Essie Richmond Fish, Martins Ferry, and the late George Fish. Mrs. Crossley was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge. Survivors are two sons and two daughters by a former marriage. Robin Taylor, Coshocton, Lynn Taylor, Coshocton Rout, Mrs. Carol (Sut) Glosser, Mt. Vernon, and Kathy Taylor of the home, and another daughter of the second marriage, Lisa Ann Crossley, of the home; three brothers, Burt Fish and William Fish, Martins Ferry and Robert Fish of Belpre; and two grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home with Rev. M. F. Bellville. Burial will be in Milfork Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and until time for services Wednesday. Women of the Moose Lodge will hold rites at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
