Mr. Pitts was a retired painter and a member of Eagles Lodge 302. Surviving are his widow Ruby Tousley Pitts, a daughter Mrs. Welcome (Margaret) Hayes of 465 Stardust circle, two sons, William of the home and Fred of 5215 Airwood drive, a sister, Mrs. Howard (Helen) Moore of 2894 Arthur circle, two brothers, Warren of 470 Moore avenue and Fred of Alden NY, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at DeLong and Baker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Savage, 74, Dies at Columbus
McConnelsville, - Mrs. Alfa Savage, 74, former resident of McConnelsville, died Monday afternoon at the home of her son Max, of Columbus after a lingering illness. Mrs Savage was born April 8, 1882 in East Windsor township, Morgan county, a daughter of Thomas and Mary Hindman Petterson. She left McConnelsville in 1943 after residing most of her life here. She was a member of Moose Eye, Royal Neighbors of America, of McConnelsville. Surviving are two sons, Max of Columbus and Buell of Westmont, Ill.; two daughters, Mrs. Francine Harter of Columbus and Mrs. Thomasine Eitelgeorge of Mansfield; and a sister, Mrs. Virgie Patterson of Windsor township. The body had been removed to the Fisher funeral home here pending arrangements.
