Frances Parsons Hassler, 81, of 1226 Woodhill, Kent, died Monday,
at Rockynol Retirement Community in Akron, following declining
health. She was born Oct. 27, 1907 in Kiowa, Okla., the daughter
of Edgar and Eva Lee (Longley) Parsons. She had lived in Akron most
of her life, was a kindergarten teacher for Akron City Schools, a
member of Grace United Church of Christ in Akron, had worked for
Family Service Association for 10 years was a member of Kappa Kappa
Gamma Sorority, and a former member of Akron Women's City Club and
Akron City Club. She graduated from the University of Akron in 1929.
She is survived by sons, Donald M. II of Kent, John A. of Oklahoma
brother, Edward of Akron; sister, Mrs. William (Blanche) Jaques of
Cincinnati; six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband,
Donald, in 1985. Friends will be received one hour prior to the 2
p.m. funeral service Thursday, at the Wood Funeral Home, Kent
Chapel, Rev. George Gaiser officiating. Burial at Rose Hill
Cemetery. (Wood, Kent, 678-4433.)

BRADBURN William Winter (Bill) was born June 12, 1915 to Harold F. and Gladys
Winter Bradburn in OKC. He graduated from Classen HS in 1932 and the
University of Oklahoma in 1936. He was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma,
honorary business fraternity and received his CPA certificate in
1940. During WWII, Bill served with the FBI. He was an accountant
with Kerr-McGee Oil Co. for 26 years until his retirement in 1981.
Survivors include his wife, Annie of OKC; a sister Mary Jean Kidd of
Austin, TX; a brother, Frank(wife Margie) of Idaho Falls, ID; and
seven nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents
and a sister, Bettie Garner. He was a longtime member of the First
United Methodist Church of OKC. Donations may be made to their
building fund. Services will be 2:00 PM, Thurs., September 30, 1999
at Guardian West Chapel with burial to follow at Rose Hill Burial
Park.
