Wichita Eagle, The (KS) - May 26, 2005
HAYSVILLE - Landreth, Anita Jane Falen, 1922 - 2005 passed away
Monday, May 23rd, in Tyler, TX. Preceded in death by her parents,
Arthur and Marie Falen, and brother, Jim Falen. Survivors: her
daughter and son-in-law, Marlynn & Eddie Thompson, of Athens, TX,
grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Korby & Jennifer Cattrell and
great grandchildren, Kyler, Kansas & Karrah Cattrell; granddaughter
Stephanie, Santa Cruz, CA. Anita was a longtime resident of
Haysville. She was the first fulltime City Clerk, served in the
City Council, and Friends of the Community Library. She worked at
Haysville State Bank and Armstrong Creative Services. She attended
Haysville United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. She will be
remembered as a loyal friend and good neighbor. Her home was open to
several wards of the court and she parented ten exchange students.
Any young person who needed comfort was welcomed at her house. In
lieu of flowers, memorial established with Haysville Community
Library.

Family Story:
Don was at a beer joint three miles east of Arp, TX, when
Bonnie & Clyde & a redheaded guy entered the beer joint for a
drink. This was a short time before they were killed (side note,
Bonnie & Clyde were ambushed and killed 24 May 1934 near Shreveport)
Don moved back to Covington in "34" to do carpenter work.
Don once built an airplane using a Model "A" motor. He took Alva's
dad and flew to Wichita, Kansas (from Covington, Oklahoma).
