Dorothy Linkous, 79, of Salem, passed away Saturday, March 28, 2004, at Salem Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Roanoke, July 30, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Ernest Lee and Mary Elizabeth Bennett Stone. She married Browder Mosby Linkous. She worked for a number of years for Appalachian Electric Power and Junior Achievement. She was a member of Melrose Baptist Church. Her loving husband, Browder M. Linkous of Salem; a son, Don Linkous of Roanoke; a daughter, Connie Toven of Salem; a sister, Betty Minyard of Salem; and two grandchildren survive her. A graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at Evergreen Burial Park officiated by the Rev. Bob West. There are no set calling hours, but friends may call at Lotz Roanoke Chapel, 1001 Franklin Rd. SW, Roanoke, Va.
