KEAN, Kenneth D. - Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Barlett mortuary chapel with Rev. Hobson Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Mr. Kean, 68, of 215 Clendenin St., died Tuesday night in Veterans Hospital at Huntington after a month's illness. He attended the Baptist Church and was a veteran of World War I. He had been a resident of Charlston for the past 50 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Shuck of Dunbar; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Anna Whitlock of Detroit Mich.; a son, William O. serving in the marines at Camp Lejeune, N.C. and seven grandchildren. The body is at the mortuary.

Truman Woodrow Wicker, 84, of Walnut Ridge, died Feb. 1, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 21, 1917 at Ravenden Springs, he was the son of Shelby Otto and Eula Banks Wicker. He was a former truck driver, an evangelist minister and a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Phillip Wicker; and two sisters, Thelma Taylor and Tressie Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Leona Wicker; six brothers, Tillman Wicker, Pocahontas, Thurman Wicker, Walnut Ridge, Truel Wicker, Pontiac, Michigan, Thurshel Wicker, Imboden, Teep Wicker, Milan, Tenn., and Theodore Wicker, Brighton, Texas. Funeral was Monday at 2 p.m. in the Bryan Chapel with Bro. Marty Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in the Austin Cemetery near Walnut Ridge under the direction of Bryan Funeral Home.
