HALTOM CITY - Douglas A. Pilcher, a retired landscaper, died Wednesday at his Haltom City home. He was 71. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Haltom Road Baptist Church. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Mount Olivet Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Pilcher was born in Saint Jo and had lived in Haltom City for 23 years.He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Community Hospice of St. Joseph Hospital. Survivors: Wife, Viva Pilcher of Haltom City; son, Gary Pilcher of Arlington; two daughters, Darlene Blackburn of Bedford and Debbie Hafling of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, John Paul Pilcher of Fort Worth; three sisters, Lula Bell Dickerson of Vernon, Clara McNabb of Riverside, Calif., and Winnie Harvey of Plainview; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
