COLORADO CITY - Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Church of Christ in Lometa for Miss Claudia Longley, retired schoolteacher who died Tuesday afternoon in Root Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Burial will be in Lometa Cemetery with Kiker and Son Funeral Home in charge. Born June 22, 1884, in Bell County, she taught school in Hamilton County and in Lorraine before moving here to live with a sister, Mrs. Mary Hooker, in 1948. Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. Hooker, Mrs. Berta Standefer of Clifton and Mrs. Elizbeth Blacksheer of Houston; and two brothers, H. O. of Lubbock and D. B. of Andrews.
