Pearl Savage Dies at McConnelsville
McConnelsville - Pearl V. Savage, 68, a retired rural mail carrier,
died early today at his home here following an illness. Mr. Savage
was a veteran of the Spanish-American war and was a member of the
Masonic lodge. Surviving are his widow, two daughters, Mrs.
Thomasine Eitelgeorge of Mansfield and Mrs. Frances Harter of
Columbus: two son, Max Savage of Columbus and Buel Savage of Chicago;
two brothers, Frank Savage of Wyandotte, Mich., and George Savage of
Watsonville, Calif., and five grandchildren. The body was removed to
the Fisher funeral home.

Illness Fatal to Pearl V. Savage
McConnelsville, O. - Pearl V. Savage, 68, prominent citizen of
McConnelsville and a retired rural mail carrier, died at his home
here at 1:40 o'clock Monday morning from heart trouble from which he
had been ill for the past few weeks. He was the son of the late
George and Miranda Ann Miller Savage and was born at Chesterhill.
The most of his life was spent in Morgan county. He was a veteran
of the Spanish American war and of World War 1. He was a member of
the Masonic lodge and of Morgan Aerie of F.O.E. Surviving are his
widow, Alpha Patterson Savage; two daughters, Mrs. Tomasine
Eitelgeorge, of Mansfield and Mrs. Francine Harter of Columbus; two
sons, Buell of Chicago and Max of Columbus; five grandchildren and
two brothers, George Savage, of Watsonville Calif, and Frank Savage
of Wyandotte, Mich. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon
at 2 o'clock at Grace methodist church with Rev. L.S.Wees
officiating. Interment will be made in McConnelsville cemetery. The
body will be taken to the home Tuesday afternoon from the Fisher
funeral home.
