Bernard Leo Bandy, 75, of Roanoke, went home on Wednesday, December 3, 2003. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie R. Bandy; brothers, Garnett, Hyatt, Edwin, and Emmitt Bandy. He is survived by a daughter, Judy Marie Bandy of Roanoke; two sisters, Merle Paulin of Hermitage, Tenn. and Opal Lewis of Wexford, Pa.; two sisters-in-law, Vida Bandy of Chattanooga, Tenn. and Moray Bandy of Pembroke; also many nieces, nephews, and cousins along with many special friends. His daughter is eternally grateful for the wonderful care, love, and companionship that was given to her father from a very dear friend, Lorraine Eisner and Korki, her dog. Funeral services will be conducted at Lotz Salem Chapel Friday, December 5, 2003, at 3 p.m., with Pastor Emory Tarpley, Rev. Raymond Kelley, and Rev. Jim Sutphin officiating. Interment in Sherwood Memorial Park with military honors provided by the VFW #1264. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic ceremonies will be provided by Craighill Lodge #160. "Go rest high on the mountain, Dad. Your work on earth is done." Arrangements by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem Chapel.

He married Diana Lynne Watt on June 23, 1979 in Midwest City and she survives him of the home as well as his 4 daughters, Amy Dawn, Christina Marie, Jessica Renea, and Latrisha Lynne Kear; mother, Bonnie O. Powell of OKC; father, Robert W. Kear of Pagosa Springs, Co; paternal grandmother, Mary E. Kear of Calif.; 3 sisters, Anna L. Charping of Ga., Debra Beeson Kear and Janet K. Kear Jenkins both of OKC; and brother, Charles A. Kear of OKC. Brother, Danial L. Kear, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 1995, at Resthaven Funeral Home in OKC, with burial following in Ford Cemetery.
