DALE E. REED 65, of Albion died Monday at home. He was an employee of
Penn Controls Inc. of Goshen and a veteran of World War II. Surviving
are daughters, Dawnice Alexander of Elgin, Ill., Shawn Berchiatti of
Shipshewana and Sharon Henson of Albion; son, Lary of Ligonier; a
sister; and six grandchildren. Graveside services, with military
honors, are 10 a.m. Friday in Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier. Calling
is 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow in Orr Funeral Home, Ligonier.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the
Miller funeral home in McConnelsville for Lee Mee, Sr, 82, of
101-1/2 Main street. Elder Fred Kline will officiate. The body
is at the funeral home. Mr. Mell, a retired plasterer and former
McConnelsville resident, died Thursday afternoon in Valley Hills
rest home at McConnelsville where he had been a patient since
Sunday. He was the son of Frank and Robinette Morgan Mell. His
wife, Minnie Gene Swingle Mell, died in 1934. Surviving are three
daughters, Mrs. Leonard Calendie of Stockport, Mrs. Curtis McElhiney
of Rokeby Lock, and Mrs. William Kester of McConnelsville; a son,
Lee Jr., of near Zanesville, a stepdaughter, Mrs. J. G. Lighthizer
of Magnolia street, 17 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren,
and several great-great-grandchildren. He was a member of the
Seventh Street Church of Christ in McConnelsville.

NEW LEXINGTON -- William E. Munyan, 87, passed away Sunday, July 6,
2008, at the Sunbridge Care Center. He was born Nov. 13, 1920, in
New Lexington, a son of the late Ernest William and Jerusa Savage
Munyan. He was an Army veteran of World War II, retired employee of
Newark Electroplating and Lempo and a member of the United
Pentecostal Church of New Lexington. He is survived by his two
daughters, Phyllis A. (Wayne) Pettit and Mary L. (William) Farmer of
Newark; a son, Richard L. (Betty) Munyan of Junction City; seven
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two
great-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in
death by his wife Betty J. Munyan, who died in 2007; a grandson,
Jason Munyan; an infant daughter; two brothers, Phil and Jim Munyan;
and two sisters, Naomi Thomas and Flora Mae Weekly. Calling hours
will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Chute-Wiley
Funeral Home, 118 S. Jackson St. Funeral services will be held at
11 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, at the United Pentecostal Church on
Kennedy Avenue and Tile Plant Road, with the Rev. H. Richard Young
officiating. Burial will follow in Rehoboth Cemetery with full
military graveside rites conducted by Junction City American Legion
Post 397.

Perry Co. Man Dies At Age of 77
New Lexington - James M. Savage, 77, of New Lexington died at 7 a.m.
Saturday in Perry County Hospital. He had been in ill health for the
past three years. He was born in Perry County on May 20, 1882, the
son of Oscar and Rebecca Nichols Savage. He was a life long resident
of Perry County and former employe of the C & O Railroad. Surviving
are his widow of Athens; one son, Danford of New Lexington; three
daughters, Mrs. Venetia Bagent of Nelsonville, Mrs. Martha Simiss of
near Junction City and Mrs. Donald McNulty of New Lexington; 30
grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren;
one brother, Marion of Crooksville, Route 2. The body was removed to
the C.L.Chute Funeral Home where friends may call after noon today.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Tuesday with
Rev. David Davis officiating. Burial will be in New Lexington
Cemetery.
