C.O.P.D. Born in Salt Lake City to Albert Leroy Thomas and Clara Mack
Thomas. Married Geraldine Mills on August 2, 1974. Survived by his
wife and eight children. Bryin (Roger) McDonald, Daniel Thomas,
Gerie (Bruce) Bettridge, Bill (Nikki) LaBronte, Karie (John) Maez,
Tammy (Chuck) Boomgaarden, Chadd (Theresa) Stauffer, Tim (Stacy)
Stauffer, 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grand-children, brother Marvin
(Lorraine) Thomas; sister Nola (Glen) Palmer. Preceded in death by
his parents, six siblings, first wife JoeAnne Winegar and daughter
Roy Anne Grace Thomas. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, May
13th, at 11 a.m. at the Taylors Grove Ward, 4800 South 1350 West.
Graveside dedication at Camp Williams will follow.

LONGLEY
John M. Longley, aged thirty-five years, died early yesterday morning
at the residence, 1713 West Fourth street. Mr. Longley was born in
Whitley county, this state, and moved to this city several years ago.
He conducted a barber shop on High street until ten months ago when he
was compelled to retire on account of ill health. The deceased was a
member of Company B, 157th regiment of Indiana volunteers and served
in the Spanish-American war. He was also a member of the I.O.O.F.
No 19, and of the local Barbers' union, No. 14. Surviving besides
the wife is the father, Reuben Longley, and two brothers, Reuben and
William Longley, and a sister, Mrs. Tom Mangan.

John M. Longley, aged 35 years and four months died at 5:10 o'clock
Monday morning at his late residence, 1713 West Fourth street from
complications. He was born in Whitley county this state and moved
to this city several years ago, where he conducted a barber shop at
the corner of High street and Runion avenue until ten months ago when
his sickness compelled him to remain at home. The deceased was a
member of Company B, 157th Regiment of Indiana Volunteers and served
in the Spanish-American war. He was also a member of the IOOF No 19
and of the Local Barbers Union No 14. Besides his wife he is
survived by his father, Ruben Longley, two brothers, Ruben and
William Longley, and one sister, Mrs. Tom Mangan.

The 157th Regiment at South Bend This Afternoon
The following Fort Wayne soldiers left today to attend the reunion
of the One Hundred and Fifty-Seventh regiment at South Bend: Major
W. W. Barnett, hospital corps; Captain Charles Barnett, hospital corps;
Corporal Ed Longfield, hospital corps; Corporal Ed Longfield,
hospital corps; Corporal Frank Weber, hospital corps; Captain Meyer,
Company G; Seargeant Major John Wort, Corporal Sonnie Hartwick,
Clyde Dresbach, Henry Wichiman, John Engmann, Sid Tyler and John Longley.
The railroads say the attendance from Fort Wayne was discouraging.
