West Lafayette - George W. Crossley, 88, of West Lafayette Route 1,
died at 4:50 p.m. Sunday at County memorial Hospital where he had
been a patient for two weeks. He was born Jun 14, 1884 at
Zanesville, a son of Frank and Kate Savage Crossley and was
married in 1912 to Flossie Lint, who died in 1936. Mr. Crossley
was a retired coal miner. Survivors are three sons, George, St.
Petersburg, Fla., Timothy, 252 N. Fifteenth St., and Francis
Crossley, Radcliff, Ky.; four daughters, Mrs Carl (Mildred) Alberson,
Route 1, Mrs. Agnes Daniel, Bakersfield Calif., Mrs. George (Nancy)
Burkenstock, Chicago, and Mrs. Charles (Lois) Hinman, Bay City, Mich;
20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John C.
Crossley, Roscoe, and Adam Crossley, Pontiac, Mich.; two sisters,
Mrs. Alice Bryant, Coshocton, and Mrs. Jeanette Senter, Coshocton
Route 3. One daughter, one son, three grandchildren and two brothers
are deceased. Services are planned for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the
Dawson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald L. Rearic officiating.
Burial will be in Zion Cemetery near Adamsville. Friends may call
at the funeral home Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Salt Lake City. Born January 16, 1919 in Boise, Idaho, a daughter of
Walter Goodridge and Agnes Campbell Dunlop Clarke. Married Clayton C.
Mills, June 16, 1937 in Bountiful, later solemnized in the Salt Lake
LDS Temple. Member of the LDS Church. Served in ward and stake
Primary positions. Liked painting, music and canning. Was friendly,
loving and helpful to all. Worked for Sperry Corp. for 10 years.
Survived by husband, Clayton, four daughters, Geraldine Thomas, West
Valley; Mrs. Heber (Karen) Vlam, Butler; Mrs. Paul (Tamara) Meyers,
Cottonwood; Mrs. Rudy (Verlyn) Ekins, Payson; 21 grandchildren, 16
great-grandchildren. Funeral services, Wednesday 10 a.m., McDougal
Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may
call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday 9-9:40 a.m. Interment, Larkin
Sunset Gardens.

Mrs. Longley Dies at Noon
Nelsonville - Jan 25. - (Staff Special)
Mrs. Carrie Longley, 46, wife of Sam Longley, prominent barber of
Nelsonville, died at her home on Madison Street, at 11:30 o'clock
this morning. The body will be taken to the home of Mrs. Longley's
brother, Dave Evans, 525 Poplar Street. Funeral services will be
held at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the Evans' home. The
services will be conducted by the Rev. Lloyd Evans, of the
Presbyterian Church. Interment will be made in the Green Lawn
Cemetery. Besides her husband, Mrs. Longley leaves a son John, and
two sisters, Mrs. Blaine Carr, of Newark; and Mrs. Ed McGlone, of
Cedarsburg, Indiana. The son John Longley was prominent in Athletics
at Ohio University in recent years. Mrs. Longley was a member of the
Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters and the White Shrine.
