Mrs. Savilla Coler, 89, of Stockport, died at the home of her niece,
Mrs. Dale Niceswanger of Stockport Sunday night. She was the
daughter of Martin and Margaret Lynn Sheeths. She was a member of
the liberty church. Her husband, David Coler preceeded her in
death. Surviving is a son, Leonard Riley of Zanesville. Funeral
services will be conducted at the Stockport Christian church
Wednesday morngin at 10:30 o'clock with the Rev. Newton Barnsworth.
Burial will be in Stockport cemetery. The body is at the
Fawcett-Stone funeral home in Chesterhill.

NEW LEXINGTON -- Henrietta P. Barnett, 67, of 229 E. Lincoln St., New
Lexington, died at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2005, at her home. She
was born July 19, 1937, in New Lexington, to the late Walter G. and
Pearl E. Watts Penrod. She was retired from Ohio Bell and a member of
the Ohio Bell Pioneers and had also worked at the Perry County
Department of Human Services. She was a member of New Lexington Church
of the Nazarene. Surviving are her husband, Ralph E. Barnett of the
home; a daughter, Toni (Dan) Johnson of New Lexington; a son, Tim
(Belinda) Barnett of New Lexington, a sister, Dorothy E. (Roger)
Hooper of New Lexington; seven grandchildren, Jason Johnson of New
Albany, Justin (Jackie) Johnson of Thornville, Katelyn Barnett,
Journey Barnett, Cassidy Barnett, Liberty Barnett and Lucas Barnett,
all of New Lexington; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to
her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Veryl Penrod
and Robert Penrod; and a sister, Elinor Penrod. Calling hours will be
held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, May 30, at the Roberts Funeral
Home, 304 Mill St., New Lexington, and one hour prior to services at
the church. Services will be a 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at New
Lexington Church of the Nazarene, 383 Park Ave., New Lexington, with
Pastor Larry Brisker officiating. Burial will be in New Lexington
Cemetery. The Roberts Funeral Home, New Lexington, is in charge of
arrangements.

George H. Dwyer, a long time resident of Cowley County, and resident
of Cambridge, Kans., died last Sunday evening in his home in
Cambridge at 11:05, being one month and five days past 90 years
old. He was the tenth child of Mr. and Mrs. William and Mary
Dwyer. He had five brothers and six sisters. Though not the
youngest yet he was older at his death than any of his brothers
or sister grew to be before they passed on. His illness of less
than a week's duration brought to close his long life. His life
is marked with four moves. He was born Dec. 4, 1853, was moved
to Lamar, Mo., at the age of seven years, then to Coffey county,
Kansas in the spring of 1861 and nine years later to Cowley County,
two miles north of Cambridge, Kansas, there finally he moved himself
and family to Cambridge. Seven years after coming to Cowley county
he was married to Miss China Virginia Baldwin who preceded him in
death about eight and a half years ago who lived to within five days
of their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary. To Mr. and Mrs. George
Dwyer were born one daughter and seven sons. The daughter and one
son died in 1905 and 1878 respectively. The six surviving sons are:
Ed and Archie of Cambridge; Morton and Weaver of Burden; John of
Compton, Calif., and Otis of Fremont, Texas. He also has seventeen
grand-children; twenty-four great grand-children; a nephew; a neice;
other relatives and many friends. By his obedience to the gospel
of Christ he became a member of the church of God (actually it was
the church of Christ) in his early married life. His
responsibilities have been with the Cambridge congregation until
his death. Evangelist Olice W Cruise, minister of the church in
Burden preached. Mr. and Mrs. Will Yaden and Mrs. Bertha Utt, of
Winfield (rural) sang. Mr. Charley Newman, Mr. Will Harlan, Mr.
G.W. Mahan, Mr. Fred Hiller, Mr. Harry Brown, and Mr. Henry Miller
were pallbearers. Burial was under direction of the E.L. Gann
funeral service at 3:30 pm January 11 in the Cambridge Cemetery.
