Earl W. Huff, 80 of Lancaster, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at Mt. Carmel East Medical Center, Columbus. He was a member of the Lancaster Moose Lodge No. 955, Elks Lodge No. 570, American Legion Post No. 11, VFW and a U.S. Marine Veteran of World War II. He was a retired brick mason. Survivors include one son, Craig Huff, Texas one sister, Pearl Hughes, Shadyside, Ohio nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife, Augusta D. Huff parents and one sister and three brothers. Service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Sheridan funeral Home with Fr. Donald E. Franks officiating. Burial St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at Sheridan Funeral Home. Military Graveside Service will be conducted by the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail. Memorials may be sent to the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail, American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

DRIVER CRUSHED BENEATH TRUCK
A man who had been identified by police only as Wilbur Pinkston was pronounced dead on arrival at Capitol Hill General hospital shortly before midnight Saturday from injuries received in an automobile accident at SW 25 and Agnew, when he was crushed beneath a truck. Pinkston was an occupant of a rebuilt 11-year-old sedan equipped with a truck bed. The truck was involved in a headon collision with a sedan driven by Wayne Onstatt, 44, of 2347 SW 44. Onstatt and a woman who had still not been identified by police at midnight were in Oklahoma City General hospital. Two other occupants of the vehicle in which Pinkston was riding were at Capitol Hill General hospital. They were, Elbert E, Howard, 27, of 2701 SW 32, and his wife Tommie, 22. Howard had a severe scalp laceration and a fractured ankle, and his wife was suffering from a broken nose and face lacerations.
