Mrs. Walter Witty, 75, of 223 West Chestnut St., died at 2:15 a.m. Sunday at the County Memorial hospital following an illness of one week. Blanche Gray was born March 11, 1883, in McConnelsville, a daughter of Thomas and Lucretia Davis Gray and was married in 1914 to Mr. Witty. Surviving besides the husband are one daughter, Mrs. Dora Hardesty, Coshocton, by a former marriage; three brothers, George, Fred and William Gray, all of Piqua; two sisters, Mrs. Frank Hitchcok, Piqua, Mrs. Otis Hartman, Duncan Falls; five grandchildren and nine great-granchildren. Two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dawson funeral home. Rev. Owen Lower will officiate and burial will be in South Lawn cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and until time of services Tuesday.
