Lamar Willian Dye, 87, Kansas City, MO, passed away April 24, 2000, and will be buried in Walnut Grove cemetery after his funeral at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 1, at Hillside Christian Church. Lamar was born in Marceline, MO, received his law degree from UMKC, and was awarded membership in the BENCH and ROBE for 50 years distinguished service in law. After being a First Lieutenant in World War II and Korea, he worked beside his sons in the Boy Scouts and later served as Deacon in the church. He was a Mason whose tenor voice enhanced choirs. Surviving him is Paula, his wife of 50 years; Richard, his son; and four grandchildren.
