Jacob Stanley, 75, of Peebles, died at 10 p.m. Thursday (Sept 1) in the Adams Manor Rest Home in West Union, O. He had been ill for four months. Born Feb 18, 1891, in Zanesville, he was a son of Jacob and Amalga Dobbins Stanley. He moved to Peebles in 1937 and was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union. Surviving are one son, Robert Stanley of Batavia, six daughters, Mrs. Mary Mitchell, Mrs. Hazel Padlock, Mrs. Dorothy Mathews, and Mrs. Ruth Johnson, all of Peebles, Mrs. Ellen Zissinger of Hillsboro and Mrs. Betty Royce of Manchester, two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Evans, and Mrs. Mary Leukesberry of Zanesville, and one brother, Earl Stanley of Key West, Fla. Frines may call at the Tresz Funeral Home in Peebles where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Rev. James Stone will officiate and burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
