Mrs. Wilma (Bob) Young, 71, of 210 High st., Crooksville, died at 4 a.m. Saturday at the William Haven Nursing Home in Zanesville after an extended illness. Mrs. Young was born in McLuney on Oct. 8, 1905. She was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church here and the Eagles Lodge auxiliary. Her husband, Earl D. Young, died in 1969. Surviving are a step-daughter, Mrs. Burgess (Vernadelle) Fauley of Roseville; two step-sons, Ronald J. Young of Mount Perry and Robert Young of Roseville; two brothers, Orville and Kenneth Hoops of Crooksville, six step-grandchildren and two great-step-children. The body is at the Goebel Funeral Home in Crooksville where friends may call anytime and where services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Crooksville Cemetery. Members of the family will be at the funeral home today from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9.

The LDS site lists this son born to Joshua Thomas Knowles and Henrietta Margaret Slusher. Since he is not mentioned in the 1900 gap in ages between Norman Elmer and Arthur Thomas, which allows plenty of time for this son to have been born. Also, the 1900 census states that Henrietta had 9 children, but only 8 of them were still living - all of which support a child born between 1880 and 1900 and dying in that same timeframe.
