The Gazette, Colorado Springs, Colorado, December 29, 2002 Charles "Chuck" Baldridge, 69, of Colorado Springs, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2002, at a local hospital following a heroic battle with metastatic prostate cancer. Chuck was born September 14, 1933 in Pasadena, CA., to Waldo M. and Ruth E. (Longley) Baldridge. He grew up in Pasadena, and in Honduras. He served his country in the U.S. Army, and received his honorable discharge. Chuck married Jane M. Woare in Glendale, CA., on December 19, 1953. The couple has celebrated 49 years of marriage. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Jana (husband Lee) Vargas, Allison (husband Jerry) Hoskins and Mindy (husband Fred) Shelley; and six grandchildren, Elias, Keith, Garrett, Hilary, Marin and Jake. Chuck was a member of The Rampart Rangers RV Club. He was an accomplished actor and member of the Screen Actors Guild. Chuck was a skilled handyman, and was appreciated for it by neighbors and family alike. His greatest enjoyment came from his family. A Celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, December 30, 2002 at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Chuck's memory to: Special Olympics, 3595 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO. 80910.
