Murval Emery Shipley, 59, died Monday at 5:30 a.m. in St. Ann Hospital. His home was at 1543 N. 19th St. A resident of Abilene since 1942, Mr. Shipley had owned and operated several laundries in Abilene since that time. He suffered a strong June 15, 1957, and had been in ill health since that time. Mr. Shipley was born Oct. 4, 1899, in Bridgeport, and had attended school in Munday. He married Nora Jane Baker in Pampa on April 4, 1929, and they lived there most of the time until moving to Abilene. Funeral arrangements are pending at Elliott's Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Nora Jane; one son, Alfred Leon Shipley, 1125 McCarty St.; three daughters, Mrs. Rebah Cagle of Decatur, Mrs. Juanita Barnes of Electra, and Mrs. Dacline Warner of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Paul Shipley of Corpus Christi, and Noel Shipley of Eunice, N.M.; one sister, Mrs. Jewel Ann Baker of 1726 S. 4th St.; and eight grandchildren.
