Masury woman was homemaker
Edna M. Rado of 563 Brookfield Ave., Masury, died Monday (5-29-06)
in O'Brien Memorial Nursing Home, Masury, after an extended illness.
She was 90. Mrs. Rado was born Jan. 3, 1916, in Zanesville, Ohio, a
daughter of Charles E. and Linda (Davis) Longley. She was a
homemaker and was a Protestant by faith. Her husband, Samuel
Rado Sr., whom she married in 1933, died in 1967. Surviving are: a
son, Samuel Rado Jr., Portage, Ind.; a daughter, Mary Jane Simco,
Sun City, Ariz.; a sister, Doris Rice, Brunswick, Maine; and seven
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Besides her husband,
she was preceded in death by her parents; and her nine brothers and
sisters. As per her wishes, no calling hours or services are
requested. Burial will be in Brookfield Twp. Cemetery, Brookfield,
Ohio with her family present. Family & Friends can send condolences

KEAN, Leroy H. - 61, of 5 Sayres Court, died early yesterday morning
in St. Francis Hospital after a brief illness. A newspaper salesman
for the local afternoon newspaper, Mr. Kean had been a resident of
Charleston for the past 53 years. He is survived by one brother,
Kenneth Kean of Charleston. Service, to be conducted by Rev. Earl
Hissom, will be in the Bartlett mortuary, Tennessee Ave., at 2 p.m.
tomorrow. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.

NEW LEXINGTON -- Robert Gene Penrod, 55, of Zanesville, died Tuesday,
Feb. 22, 2005, at Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital. Born Sept. 30,
1949, the son of the late Varrell E. and Gean Mershon Penrod. He was a
Protestant by faith. Surviving are his children, Robert James Penrod
of Zanesville, Derick and Crystal Penrod of California; brother, Barry
Penrod; sister, Patricia Shiplett, both of California; his aunts,
Henny (Ralph) Barnett and Dorothy (Roger) Hooper of New Lexington.
Calling hours will be from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at
the Chute-Wiley Funeral Home, 118 South Jackson St., New Lexington,
with funeral services following at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the New
Lexington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made in his name to the funeral home.
