Gebhardt Ruth, 73, of 4502 Wilmette Drive died at 5:55 a.m. Saturday in Lutheran Hospital where she had been hospitalized with burns received in a home fire accident on Dec. 29. She was a life member of Trinity English Lutheran Church and belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen. Survivors include a son, Lionel Jr., with whom she lived; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Helmer, Avilla, Mrs. Mary Ullen, Reseda, Calif., Mrs. Gladys Koehlinger and Mrs. Florence Mangan, both of Fort Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Walter Schueler, Fort Wayne; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Mungovan & Sons Mortuary, Fort Wayne. ~ 3-21-1968

Clyde William Albright, 53, sales manager of Hartman-Neal Tire Co., died unexpectedly last night a few minutes after being rushed to Memorial Hospital. Mr. Albright, a lifelong Danville resident, became ill at home and was taken to the hospital where he succumbed at 7 o'clock. Widely known in the city, he was a past president of the Dan River Sertoma Club and a member of the Danville Speech and Hearing Center's board. He was a deacon and assistant superintendent of the Sunday school at First Baptist Church. Mr. Albright was born Sept 27, 1915; a son of Bunn D. and Ardena McPeak Albright of Danville. He attended George Washington High School and was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his parents; his wife, Elizabeth Ann Giles Albright of the home, 141 Kenilworth Ave.; one daughter, Miss Susan Derrick Albright of Danvill; one son, Clyde W. Albright Jr., of Blacksburg; two sisters, Mrs Guy Jeffreys of Danville and Mrs. Frank K Jones of Cheraw, S.C.; and two brothers, James M. Albright of Danville and Chief Petty Officer First Class John P. Albright of the U.S. Navy. The body is at Townes funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements. The family is at the residence, 141 Kenilworth Ave.
