Donnie Wayne Lott, 45, of 687 Country Ridge Road, Bassett, died Thursday, April 14, 2005. Born May 3, 1959 in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Wallis LeGrande Lott, Sr. and his mother, Shirley Sehen Lott of Meadows of Dan, Va. A 1977 graduate of Patrick County High School and a 1978 graduate of Steele's Welding School in Danville, Va. Mr. Lott was employed with Industrial Fabricators located in Roanoke, Va., was a member of the local union #592 and traveled as a pipe welder all across the United States. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Janice Thompson Lott of the home; his two children, Joshua Shelton Lott and Jacob Thompson Lott of the home; brother, Wallis Lott, Jr. of Vinton, Va.; two sisters, Quilla Millirones, Vinton and Helen Swanger, Asheville, N.C.; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, April 19, 2005 at 7 p.m. Norris Funeral Services Chapel. The family will receive friends following the memorial services and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Children's Education Fund, c/o wife, Janice Lott, 687 Country Ridge Road, Bassett, Va. 24055. Arrangements by Norris Funeral Service and Crematory.
