HOSFELD, Dorothy Patricia, (Patse), 69, of Roanoke, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 24, 2003. She was a member of the Ester Sunday School Class of Oakland Baptist Church, where she was active in her church life. Patse enjoyed cross-stitch, for which she won numerous awards at the Salem Fair. She was a past employee of IT&T Electronic Optical of Roanoke. Patse was a person who enjoyed canning or food preservation, working with crafts, and faithfully sending handmade cards to cheer up those in nursing homes. She loved dinner theatres and her favorite Gospel music. She was very fond of all her children and grandchildren, and will be certainly missed by the entire family. Surviving are her husband, Lloyd D. Hosfeld; sons and daughter-in-law, Michael W. and Christina Patsy Jones, Michael B. Jones and Jay P. McAllister; stepsons and step-daughters-in-law, David L. and Gail Hosfeld of Glen Allen, and Jeffery A. and Rebecca Hosfeld of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Michael Allen Jones, Loretta L. Hosfeld, Emiley Hosfeld, Jamie McAllister, Dillon McAllister, Brent Jones and Michael Jones; her mother, Irma R. Knowles; aunts and uncles, Fred and Elise Knowles of Boones Mill, and Ralph and Margaret Knowles of Ridgeway. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at Oakland Baptist Church. The Rev. Kelly Dampeer will officiate. Interment will be in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be appreciated, but those preferring memorials please consider Oakland Baptist Church (for the Family Life Center), 3623 Roundhill Ave., Roanoke, Va. 24012. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel {362-1237}.
