Funeral services for Mary Elva Hunter, 97, of Covington will be
11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the United Methodist
Church of Covington. Rev. Paulette Albright will officiate. Burial
will follow at the Covington Cemetery in Covington, Oklahoma under
the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Elva was born on
January 18, 1908 to R.E. and Mary Bangerter Hoy on the family farm
north of Covington and died February 23, 2005 in Glencoe, Oklahoma.
She attended and graduated from the Covington High School in 1928.
On July 1929 she was united in marriage to Donald Hunter. Through
this union they had two children Patsy and James. Throughout her
life she worked at the Rogers Grocery Store in Covington, but her
favorite job was being a loving mother and homemaker for her family.
She is survived by her daughter Patsy Brown of Glencoe; eight
grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-children;
one sister Etta Mae Aulick of Springfield, MO and one brother
Wallace Hoy of Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death
by her husband; one son, James Donald Hunter; her parents; two
brothers John Hoy and Fred Hoy; and one sister Emma Swaim.
Memorials can be made to the Covington United Methodist Church
Building Fund with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian
of the funds.

Catholic Wedding at McConnelsville
Rev Father L B Preston of the St James Catholic church, McConnelsville,
officiated at the marriage of Miss Mary Louise Longley and Paul Kinney,
Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. The nuptuals were read at the
parsonage, and the attendants were Miss Emily Mulvey and Francis Davis,
both of this city. A wedding breakfast served at the home of the
brides parents, Mr and Mrs Carlos Longley, supplemented the ceremony.
After a brief wedding trip, the couple will reside in this city. The
bride is a graduate of Philo high school and of Good Samaritan Nurses
Training school, class of 1932. Mr Kinney is the son of Mr and Mrs
Edward Kinney, Abington avenue. He is associated with the Hazel-Atlas
Glass plant.

COSHOCTON -- Jane E. (Sheppard) Gauthier, 85, of Coshocton and
formerly of Arlington, Mass., died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at
Grant Medical Center, Columbus. A Memorial service will be held
at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Free Funeral Home in
Coshocton. Military honors will be conducted by the Coshocton
County Veterans Council at the funeral home. Burial will be in
Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington, Mass.

COSHOCTON -- Jane E. Gauthier, 85, of Coshocton, formerly of
Arlington, Mass., died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003 at Grant Medical
Center in Columbus. Bom September 20, 1917 in Coshocton, where
she resided until 1947, she was the daughter of the late Earl A. and
Helen (Burrell) Sheppard. A graduate of Coshocton High School, she
served as a Yeoman Third Class in the U.S. Navy from Jan. 28, 1944 to
April 21, 1945 during World War II. She moved to Cambridge, Mass.
in 1947 and was an assistant loan officer at the Bay Bank in
Cambridge for many years before retiring in 1990. She also resided
in Arlington for 25 years before recently moving back to her hometown
in Ohio. A Methodist by faith, she enjoyed reading, traveling and
was an avid Red Sox fan. She is survived by two sons, Douglas P.
(Donna) Gauthier and Robert W. Gauthier, all of Coshocton; a
daughter, Alice E. (Robert) Shamma of Weymouth, Mass.; two sisters,
Elizabeth (Edward) Gehrke of Coshocton and Mary Ellen (Dutch) Olden
of Yakamah, Wash.; three grandchildren and several nieces and
nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death
by her husband, Warren P. Gauthier, who died Sept. 16, 1984; two
brothers, Robert and William Sheppard, and a sister, Wilda Compola.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003 at the Free
Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Granger officiating. Military honors
were conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council. Burial will
take place at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Arlington, Mass.
