A funeral service for Shirley Jean Fairall Havens, 75, of Graham, N.C., formerly of Zanesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bryan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alan Kornacki Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Shirley passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003, at her residence at 9 p.m. She was born March 5, 1928, the daughter of the late Russell Leslie and Vera Ruth Beatty Fairall. She was a member of Springfield Grange and formerly employed by Kay Bowling Supply. Shirley is survived by four daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Stringfellow, Viki (Neil) Harper-Hall, all of Newark, Debbie (Rocky) Lynn of Zanesville, and Pam (Ed) Edwards of Graham, N.C.; three sons, Michael (Lisa) Havens, Keith (Cathy) Havens, all of Nashport, and Jeff (Dixie) Havens of Swepsonville, N.C.; 15 grandchildren; eight stepgrandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Calvin Havens, who died in 1993; brother, Russell F. Fairall Jr.; and sister, Marie Mercer. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 2318 Maple Ave., Zanesville. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Alamance Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
