EDEN - Vergie Marie Roberson Cockram, 90, of 709 Red Clay Road died Friday morning, August 19, 1994, at her home. Funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Fair Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Born in Patrick County, Va., she was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, Stuart, Va., attended First Wesleyan Church of Eden, and was an employee of Betty's Beauty Land. Surviving are husband, Dean Cockram of the home; sons, Cleatus R. Cockram of Rock Hill, S.C., Glynn F. Cockram of Eden; daughters, Betty White of Eden, Patty Grogan of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; sisters, Meda Moricle of Charity, Va., Glada Williams, Bernice Wood, both of Stuart, Va.; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased is a daughter, Ethelene Arender. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at Fair Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First Wesleyan Church, Church Street, Eden, N.C. 27288 or Hospice of Rockingham County, 2150 Hwy 65, Wentworth, N.C. 27375.
