Funeral services for Charles A. Cooper, 53, of Columbus, who died
Saturday morning at Bethesda hospital following a cerebral hemorhage
suffered two days earlier while visiting his parents-in-law, Mr. and
mrs. J. D. Young of Crooksville, will be held at 3 o'clock Monday
afternoon at the Young residence in Crooksville. C. A. Wilson of
Pittsburgh will officiate and burial will be in the Crooksville
cemetery. The body has been removed to the Young residence from the
Cannon and Cannon funeral home at Crooksville. Mr. Cooper was a
member of the A. & G. L. Bricklayers union of Columbus. Surviving
are his widow, Leanice of the home; two sons, George William Cooper
of Columbus and F/O Donald Robert Cooper, stationed witht he Army Air
Corps in Guam; two brothers, Donald Cooper of East Liverpool and
Robert Cooper of Cambridge; two sisters, Mrs. Clyde Allen of
Crooksville and Mrs. Charles Rhodes of Columbus, and thee
grandchildren.

COSHOCTON - Dalton Eugene Ferrell, 86, died at his Coshocton Health
and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, July 22, 2006. Born Feb.
16, 1920, in Dresden, he was a son of the late Richard and Anna
Mary (Haegan) Ferrell. He attended Dresden High School and served
in the U.S. Army from 1945 through 1947, in the 42nd Infantry
Division, stationed in Salzburg, Austria. "Gene" was raised on a
farm and engaged in agriculture for most of his active years. He was
a past Master of Adams Mills Grange and was recognized by the Future
Farmers of America as a friend and support. For several years he
was the area representative for Dekalb Seed Corn Company. A few years
following retirement from farming he was employed as a Security Guard
at Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. Being always active, his last years
involved enjoying his home and large family and helping his children
with home maintenance and construction projects. A loving and
faithful husband, father and grandfather, he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his wife Della (Bendure) Ferrell, whom he married
May 25, 1947; a son, Dalton Eugene Ferrell II of Marietta; four
daughters, Mary Martin (Dean Myron) Leas of West Lafayette, Barbara
Jean Mainwaring of Coshocton, Bonita Faye (Joseph) Gerardi of
Columbus and Elaine (Rocky) Smith of Coshocton; 10 grandchildren,
seven stepgrandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and eight
stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia King of Coshocton
and Anna Margaret Russell of Orlando, Fla.; one brother, Charles
Ferrell of Dresden; two brothers-in-law, Charles Johnson of Norwich
and the Rev. William Babb of Marian, Ind.; and many nieces and
nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Doris (Charles)
Johnson, Wanita (George) Houston and Vivian (Fred) Faulhaber. At
Dalton's request, cremation will be followed by a graveside for the
public at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 27, 2006, at South Lawn Cemetery.
Given-Dawson Funeral Home will handle arrangements.

Ralph Hunter, 67, of 1206 Grant street died at 1:45 p.m. Wednesday
(Sept. 27) at a Cambridge hospital. He was born March 19, 1900,
in Athens County, a son of John and Maggie Mason Hunter. He had
been a resident
of Zanesville 48 years. He is survived by a son, Elmer Hunter of
1100 Marietta street; three brothers, Elmer of 704 Underwood street,
James of 1206 Grant street and Clarence of Belpre; a sister,
Mrs. Grace
Gladman of 237 Harris road, and a granddaughter Elizabeth Hunter
of 1100 Marietta street. His wife, the former Carrie Hutton, died
in 1947. The body was taken to Arthur Bryan Funeral Home.
