Zanesville - Frank A. Stoneburner, 84, died at 1:10 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2002, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House. He was born Aug. 27, 1917, in Zanesville, son of the late George and Josephine Gaab Stoneburner. Mr Stoneburner was a retired salesman at the former Bailey Drug Co., an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Central Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Thelma M Longley Stoneburner, whom he married Feb. 23, 1941, a daughter, Martha S. Wilson of Zanesville, two grandchildren, Sarah (Tony) Loyd of Springfield, Ill, and Ted Wilson of Athens. In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by three brothers, Fred, Robert, and John Stoneburner. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bolin Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., and one hour prior to services at 11 a.m. Thursday at Central Trinity United Methodist Church, with Pastor Stanley Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park. Personal condolences may be sent to the family via e-mail at [email protected]

Elmer Watts Dies; Retired Rail Cashier
Elmer D. Watts, 74, of 407 Brighton boulevard, retired cashier for the New York Central Railroad in Zanesville died at 4:40 p.m. Sunday at Bethesda Hospital where he had been a patient since Friday evening with an acute heart condition. He was born in Crooksville, Dec. 7, 1896, a son of Edgar and Hattie Koon Watts. He moved to Zanesville in 1939. He retired from the railroad in 1960. Mr. Watts was a member of Crooksville United Methodist Church and was a life member American Legion in Zanesville. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his widow, the former Gladys Mumford; a son, Keith Watts of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Jane) Downey of Crooksville, a sister, Mrs. Etta D Watts of McConnelsville; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Crooksville Chapel of Cannon and Cannon Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
