Funeral services for Mrs. Cora Ferrell, 72, wife of Lemert Ferrell, Adamsville road, who died on Tuesday afternoon at her home following a lingering illness from complications will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the residence with Rev. John S. Herion officiatin. Burial will be at Dresden. Mrs. Ferrell had resided in Washington township for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Sherrard Chapel M.E. church, near Dresden. Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Ethel and Kate of the home; two sons, Raymond, Adamsville road and Richard Ferrell, near Dresden; three brothers, Charles Plummer, Dresden, Edward Plummer, Zanesville and Zane Plummer, Cleveland, three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Shafer, Zanesville; Mrs. Bernard Cochran, Toledo, and Miss Mary Plummer Zanesville and ten grandchildren and one great grandson.

PULASKI - Burley Jean Semones Moore, 62, of Pulaski, Va. died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at the Waverly Healthcare Center, Waverly, Va. She was born in Pulaski County on Dec. 25, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Burley Edward Semones and Imogene Knowles Semones. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Kathleen Moore. Surviving are: her daughter, Alice M. Cappellino, Rockville, Va.; son, Barry S. Moore, Jr., Pulaski; sisters, Marguerite Rupe, Simpsonville, S.C., Marie Hughes, Milledgeville, Ga.; brothers, Ronnie Semones, Clearwater, Fla., James Semones, Pulaski, Va., Larry Semones, Winston-Salem, N. C.; five grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006 at 10 a.m. from the Stevens Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. Burial will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery, Pulaski County. Visiting will be Wednesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made in honor of Hayden Moore to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105.
