EAST FULTONHAM -- Candy Sue Tracy-Mercer, 41, went home to be with the Lord at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, at Genesis Hospice, Morrison House, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 24, 1964, in Zanesville, she was employed by the NAPA Co. and was former co-owner of Tracy's Shell and Towing Service for 22 years. She graduated from Philo High School and Mid-East Ohio Vocational School class of 1982. She was secretary for the Y-City Southeastern Ohio Bikers Association and her hobbies included biking, boating and her family and friends. Surviving are a son, Nathan C. Tracy of the home; her parents, Alice F. Tracy of East Fultonham and Richard W. Tracy of Zanesville; a sister, Tina M. Tracy of East Fultonham; two nephews, Ryan (Erica) Tracy and Barry Tracy Williamson, both of East Fultonham; one great-niece, Taylor Nicole Williamson of Zanesville; her mother-in-law, Ester Mercer; two stepsons, Martin L. (Christy) Mercer Jr. of Zanesville and Timothy (Amanda) Stone of Marietta; two stepdaughters, Amber Mercer of Zanesville and Amy Stone of Lowell; stepgrandchildren; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and in-laws. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin L. Mercer Sr.; her father-in-law, Robert A. Mercer Sr.; grandparents, Foster and Roella Fisher and Paul and Winifred Tracy; uncles, Marshall, Robert and John Fisher; cousins, Sheila Freeman, John and Becky Fitch, Kayla Fisher, Chad Alexander; along with lifelong friends, Rocky Morosco, Timothy "Yim Bob" Robinson and Allen Ward. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 16, at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at the William Thompson & Son Chapel with the Rev. Sandy Rockwell officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zane Trace Credit Union, Ridge Avenue, c/o Nathan Tracy.
