Guy Walter Jeffreys, 61, died early yesterday morning at his residence, 188 Rocklawn Ave., after a brief illness. Born in Semora, N.C. Jan 1, 1914, he was a son of the late Walter Jeffreys and Annie Griffin Jeffreys. He had been a resident of Danville since Oct. 26, 1947 when he married the former Kathleen Albright. At the time of his death, he was employed as a salesman with Norton and Holley Wholesale Company. He was a member of the Board of Deacons at Shelton Memorial Presbyterian Church. In addition to his wife, of the home, he is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Alice Jeffreys Heath, Oxon Hill, Md. The body is at F. W. Townes and Son Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements. The family is at the residence.

Clifford J. (Picc) Omen, 56, of 939 West Main street died at 11:45 p.m. Monday (April 4) in Good Samaritan Hospital where he had been a patient since Jan. 27. He formerly was a bartender at Clarendon Hotel. Mr. Omen was born Dec 15, 1909, at Misco in Perry County. He had lived in Zanesville 38 years. He was a son of James and Vergie Savage Omen. His father was slain by a robber Oct. 5, 1950, while he was listening to a World Series broadcast in his poolroom on West Main street. He was a member of Millfield Methodist Church. Surviving are his mother of the home; a sister, Mrs. Harry D. Johnson of 812 West Muskingum avenue; and a niece, Mrs. Andrew Fraser of Steubenville. The body is at Hillis Funeral Home where services will b eheld at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Chester Imhausen officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. today.
