Frank H. Wetzel, 58, of Columbus, former resident of Roseville, and
brother of Mrs. Stanley Kinskey of 12 Glessner avenue, died at his
home Sunday afternoon following a lingering illness. A member of
the Roseville Masonic lodge, he had lived in Columbus for the past
30 years. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Wetzel of the home; a
daughter, Mrs. Wilbur Such of Columbus; his father, George Wetzel of
Zanesville; two sisters, Mrs. Kinkey and Mrs. Florence Wilson of
Springdale, Pa.; two brothers, William Wetzel of Iron Spot and Marion
Wetzel of Columbus and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral
services will be held at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon a the Cannon &
Cannon funeral home in Roseville with Rev. W. E. Buchholtz
officiating. Burial will be iin Roseville cemetery. The body
will remain at the funeral home.

Coshocton Couple to Celebrate Golden Wedding Anniversary Saturday on
return from South.
Mr. and Mrs. L.A. Sheppard, 840 South Lawn av., will celebrate their
golden wedding anniversary Saturday, April 1. Open house will be
held from 1 until 4 in the afternoon. The couple was married at
Philo on March 30, 1889, by Rev. D. S. Priest of the M. E. church of
that place. They have made their home home in Coshocton since 1902.
Mr. Sheppard is a retired of the former Criterion restaurant. The
couple are the parents of five children, one of whom is deceased.
The other children, all of whom will attend the celebration, are
E. A. Sheppard, M. H. Sheppard and Mrs. James Crago, Coshocton, and
Mrs. W. J. Gamble, Silver Springs, Md. Ten grandchildren who will
also attend the celebration are Misses Jane Sheppard, Wilda Sheppard,
Mary Ellen Sheppard, Elizabeth Sheppard, Ruth Crago, William Sheppard
and Maurice Crago, Coshocton, Robert E. Sheppard, Union town, Pa.,
Edward and Margorie Gamble, Silver Springs, Md. Out-of-town guests
will include Mrs. Charles Moore, Zanesville, and Mrs. William Green,
Philo, sisters of Mr. Sheppard, and C. E. Longley, Philo, C. E.
Longley Crooksville, and C. E. Longley, Corning, brothers of Mrs.
Sheppard. The celebrants will arrive in Coshocton on Thursday from
Silver Springs, Md., where they have been spending the winter with
their daughter, Mrs. Gamble. Mr. Sheppard is 72 years old and his
wife is 66. They are both in good health.1

Len Sheppard, 82, Retired Restauranteur, Dies at Home Here.
Mr. Sheppard has operated the (sic) chocton restaraurnteer, died at
6 p.m. Sunday at his home, 640 South Lawn av., following a lingering
illness. Mr. Sheppard had operated the old Criterion restaraunt on
South Fifth st., near the Barnes hotel, a number of years ago. He
was born at Philo, Muskingum county, on Sept. 29, 1866, a son of
David and Emma Worstail Sheppard. In 1899 he was married to Cora
Longely (sic-Longley), who survives. Mr. Sheppard was a member of
the Philo Methodist church. Besides the widow, he leaves two
daughters, Mrs. J. W. Crago of Coshocton, and Mrs. William Gamble of
Silver Springs, Md.,; a son, Earl A. Sheppard of this city; 10
grandchildren; five great-grand-children, and two sisters, Mrs. W. J.
Green of Philo and Mrs. Charles More of Zanesville. A son and a
daughter preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the Dawson funeral home, 324 McClain av., in charge of Rev.
Sumner LaFollette of Grace Methodist church. Burial will be in South
Lawn cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home after 1
p.m. today.
