St. Cloud Times, Wed., 8 March 1916, p. 8:
F.E. DAVIS DIED LAST EVENING - F.E. Davis, an invalid for five
years, died at his home on Eighth avenue south last evening at
8:30. He suffered a stroke of apoplexy yesterday noon. Mr. Davis
was born in Freedom, Maine, Jan. 12, 1848, and was 68 years of
age at the time of his death. From Freedom he went to Liberty,
Ohio, where he remained until 1868 when he came to Rockville, Minn,
where he settled on a farm. Here he married Minerva Longley. One
son, Eugene, was born to them and resides at Canon City, Col. Mrs.
Davis died many years ago, and Mr. Davis married Ella Payne in 1882.
In 1900 Mr. Davis came to St. Cloud and engaged in the cattle
buying business.He is survived by his wife and son, Eugene, of
Canon City, Col, and one sister, Mrs. Worthing, of Monticello,
and a brother, Joseph Davis of this city. Mr. Davis was a
brother-in-law of Mrs. Longley and Mrs. Bosworth of this city.
The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed.

Glenn L. Longley was born February 13, 1906, in Ozona, Texas, the
son of Cam Longley and Josephine Frances (Young) Longley, and passed
away at his home in San Marcos, Texas, on August 27, 1995, at the age
of 89. Mr. Longley is survived by his wife of 56 years, Cleo Mittie
(Tipton) Longley; son, Dr. Glenn Longley Jr. and wife, Frances of San
Marcos; daughter, Sharon Kay Cummins of Austin; grandchildren, Kelly
(Longley) Covey and husband, Mark of Covington, Kentucky, Kristy Lee
Longley of Austin, Katherine Camille Longley of San Marcos, Glenn
Campbell Longley of San Marcos, Glennis (Wilson) Noble and husband,
Steven from Temple, and Charles Virgil Wilson Jr. from Chicago,
Illinois; great-grandchildren, Sarah Covey and Noel Longley; brother,
Col. (Ret.) Cam Longley Jr. of Brigham City, Utah; sister, Josephine
Curry of Del Rio, Texas. He also is survived by numerous nieces and
nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; first wife,
Eunice Louise (Rose) Longley; granddaughters, Kim and Kara Longley;
brother, Cole Longley; and sister, Gretchin Word. He was raised in
Ozona, Texas, and ranched for about 25 years in Terrell and Val
Verde Counties, then moved to Blanco County in 1949, where he ranched
for another 20 years. He raised cattle sheep and goats until his
retirement. As a young man he carried the mail in a Model A form
Ozona to Barnhart and surrounding areas. He was a colorful story
teller and enjoyed talking about his ranching days, horses and
hunting. He was very friendly and enjoyed talking to people. His
firm handshake and pleasant nature will long be remembered. He was
a member of the University Church of Christ in San Marcos. Mr.
Longley was a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge, having been a
Past Master. He had been a member in Sanderson, Johnson City and
Georgetown. He had also been a member of the Eastern Star, serving as
Worthy Patron in Johnson City. He was a past member of the Georgetown
and San Marcos Noon Lions Club. While ranching in Blanco County he
was a member of the local ASCS Committee and was also very active in
the Farm Bureau and served as precinct Election Judge for the A.
Robinson Community area. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 30, 1995, at Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos.
Burial will be at 12 noon Thursday, August 31, 1995, in West Lawn
Cemetery in Del Rio, Texas. Services will be conducted by Buddy
Martin, Minister of the University Church of Christ. Visitation will
be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Thomason Funeral
Home in San Marcos. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that
memorial contributions be made to the San Marcos River Foundation,
P.O. Box 1393, San Marcos, Texas 78667. Special thanks go to his
home nurses aids and Home Health of Central Texas. Arrangements by
Thomason Funeral Home, San Marcos.

Gladys Tuck Duncan, 72, of Pembroke, died Monday, June 21, 2004 at
North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem, N.C. Born in
Montgomery County on September 18, 1931, she was a daughter of the
late William Thomas and Melissa Knowles Tuck. A devoted homemaker,
she was a member of Pembroke Christian Church. She was preceded in
death by brothers Roy A. Tuck, Robert Harless "Pokey" Tuck,
William J. Price, Arthur E. Tuck, Mack David Tuck and Thomas Wade
Tuck; a sister, Ruby Tuck Price; and two special nieces Barbara
Jennelle and Brenda Jennelle Lawson. She leaves to cherish her memory
her beloved husband, Andrew L. Duncan; a son and daughter-in-law,
Dennis and Susan Thomas Duncan; a granddaughter, Leslie Brooke
Duncan; and a grandson, Grant Thomas Duncan; two sisters, Margaret
Tuck Elliott and Kathryn Tuck Montague; and a very special
great-niece, Kim Lawson. Graveside services will be conducted Friday
morning at 11 a.m. in Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg with her
pastor, the Rev. E.C. Redmond, Jr. officiating. Friends and family
may visit at the Kendall Funeral Home any time after 1 p.m. Thursday.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be sent to
the Pembroke Christian Church or the Giles County Rescue Squad.
