Stamford, Nov. 4. - (Spl) - J. H. Longley, 55, a resident here for a number of years, died in his sleep at his home early this morning. Mr. Longley's death was discovered by a son, Bill Longley, about 11:20 a.m. Mrs. Longley was in Big Spring at the time of her husband's death, returning to her home here Saturday afternoon. In addition to the widow and son, Mr. Longley is survived by a sister, Mrs. Mary Puryear of Dalton, Ga. Mr. Longley was born in Dalton. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at the Kinney Funeral chapel. The Rev. L. D. Hull, Baptist pastor, will conduct the service. Interment will be in Highland cemetery.

ALEX GRIGSBY IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Alexander Grigsby, aged 75, a former resident of Marietta street, died at the county home at 11:30 o'clock Tuesday morning following a lingering illness. He had been in a critical condition for several weeks. The body was removed to the People's Undertaking parlor and prepared for burial. Surviving is one brother, Thomas Grigsby, of this city.

Mrs. Hattie B. Watts, 95, of Crooksville, died at 1:40 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 11) at Good Samaritan Hospital after a lingering illness. Mrs. Watts was born April 22, 1873 in Gaysport a daughter of Mrs. Sarah Hamilton Koon and was a member of the Crooksville United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Miss Etta Watts of the home; a son, Elmer Watts of 407 Brighton boulevard; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and a sister, Mrs Eva Gatewood of 359 Woodlawn avenue. Her husband, Edgar and two daughters preceeded her in death. The body was taken to the Crooksville Chapel of Fred L. Cannon and Sons Funeral Home where friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Crooksville Chapel with Rev. Earse Mauler officiating. Burial will be in Crooksville Cemetery.
