CROOKSVILLE - John W. Skinnin, a Crooksville resident for many years, died Sunday in Whipple veterans hospital in Prescott, Ariz., following a lingering illness. A veteran of World War I, Mr. Skinnin was the son of James and Harriet Tharp Skinnin, early residents of Buckingham, Perry county. While in Crooksville, Mr. Skinnin was employed at the Crooksville China company. He also worked at the Universal pottery in Cambridge. He was a member of the Crooksville Church of the Atonement and the New Lexington Knights of Columbus. He leaves his widow, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Faulkner of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, mrs. Laura McBee of Marengo, Ohio and Mrs. Minnie Barbour of Crooksville; two brothers, James of Crooksville and Jerome of Buckner, Ill, and six grandchildren. The body will be returned to the Crooksville chapel of the Cannon and Cannon funeral home where arrangements are being completed.
