Mrs. Rhodes, 62, Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Myrtle V. Rhodes, 62, of Roseville, died Tuesday afternoon at
Good Samaritan hospital after an illnes of two weeks. She had been a
patient at the hospital for three days. Mrs. Rhodes was a native of
McLuney and was the daughter of Oscar and Rebecca Nichols Savage.
For 13 years she had made her home in Roseville. She was a member
of the Iliff Methodist church. Survivors include her husband, James
Wade Rhodes of Crooksville, Route 1; four sons, James of 833 Caldwell
street, Benjamin of Crooksville Route 1, Eugene of Corning Route 2,
and Clarence of New Lexington Route 2; four daughters Mrs. Pearl Miller
and Mrs. Lucille Shipley, both of Roseville, and Mrs. Anabell
Williamson and Mrs. Mae McHenry, both of Roseville Route 2; three
brothers; Marion Savage and Albert Savage, both of Crooksville
Route 2 and James of Millberry. Eleven grandchildren also survive.
The body was removed to the Cannon & Cannon funeral home in
Roseville. The body was returned to the residence Wednesday
afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 3 o'clock Friday
afternoon at the Iliff Methodist church with Rev. Raymond Garrett
and Rev. Lee Hall officiating. Burial will be in the church
cemetery.

Elmer C. Freeman of Monahans died today at a local hospital. He
was 43. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ethel Freeman, and two
sons, Jack and James, all of Monahans. His body will be sent to
Monahans today by Kaster & Maxon.
