Leonard Elmer Hooper, 68, of 793 Dryden road died at 3:35 p.m. Saturday at Good Samaritan Medical Center shortly after being admitted. He had been ill several years. Born Jan 30, 1907 at San Toy, Perry County, he was former owner and operator of Strand Billiards at 4th and Main streets. He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 302. Surviving are his widow the former Catherine Besser, a step-son Raymond E. Marshall of Dillon road; a niece and a nephew. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Sudnay and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Bolin Funeral Home of Putnam avenue.
