Oliver Rudolph "Rudy" Reed, 79, Seminole, died Friday at his home. He was born March 2, 1921, in Seminole to Virgil Richard Reed and Sophia May (Stewart) Reed. He was a lifelong resident of Seminole County. Reed married Betty J. (Hunter) Reed in 1943 in Shawnee. He was a self-employed oilfield pumping contractor. He worked in Saudi Arabia for several years. Reed was a member of Convenant Life Family Church, former member of Seminole Masonic Lodge and Pauls Valley Masonic Lodge No. 6. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Nellie Nunn and Aline Cravens. Survivors include his wife, Betty Reed of the home; sons, Jerry Reed of Seminole and Richard Reed of Purcell; one daughter, Sharon Fields; three sisters, Deloris McMillion of Oklahoma City; Dorothy Pemberton of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Josephine of Anadarko; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole. Burial will be at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Seminole.

Mrs. Edna Wilder
Services for Mrs. Edna Wilder, 48, of 817 SE 38, will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Dunaway funeral home in Bristow. Burial will be in the Oaklawn Cemetery there. Mrs. Wilder died Thursday night in Capitol Hill General Hospital. Death was caused by cancer. Born in Joplin, Mo., Mrs. Wilder moved here from St. Louis, Mo., eight years ago. She was a member of the Baptist chuch. Hunter funeral home was in charge of local arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Harold L. Wilder, of the home; a daughter, Mrs. J. G. Randall, 815 SE 38; two sons, Paul E. Wilder and Delbert Leroy Wilder, both of the home; two brothers, Harold Longley, Oxford, Kan., and W. W. Longley, 815 SE 38; a sister, Mrs. C. B. Hayes, Texas, and three grandchildren.
