MUNCIE - Robert F. Sorrell, 82, Muncie, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at Westminster Village. He was born in Tipton, IN to Clifford and Rachel (Miesse) Sorrell on April 7, 1924. He grew up in Tipton, IN and Noblesville, IN, and graduated from Muncie Central High School as part of the class of '41. He attended DePaul University of Wisconsin and the National Maritime Institute. He started work with Durham Manufacturing and moved to Hillsdale, Michigan as their sales representative in 1962. He was vice-president of Jonesville Products, an automobile parts manufacturer, in Hillsdale, MI. He retired in 1986. Robert was a member of the Delaware Country Club; the Green Hills Country Club; the Elks Lodge number 231; the Hillsdale, Michigan Golf and Country Club; and the Imperial Lakes in Lakeland, Florida. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judy Grace Sorrell; his five children, Mary E. Briner "Molly" (husband Jerry) of Jonesville, MI, Steven Sorrell (wife Sharon) of Delton, MI, Tom Sorrell of Hillsdale, MI, Jocelyn Wilkinson (husband Larry) of Muncie, and Robert Gaylor of Muncie; 18 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
