Lloyd J. Lietz, 87, resident of this city 30 years, died Monday
evening in a local hospital after a short illness. He is survived by
two sons, Lloyd J. Lietz, Jr., Ft Worth, Tex., and Richard T. Lietz
of Beirut, Lebanon; two grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Olive Lumpkin,
and a nephew, Edward R. Lumpkin III of Alburquerque. He was a member
of the Presbyterian Church, and the Masonic Lodge No. 462 of Albany,
Tex., and Hallut Abyad Temple Shrine of Albuquerque. He was a member
of Steamfitters Union Local No 413 in Albuquerque. Funeral services
will be Thursday at 3 p.m. in Palm Chapel of the Strong-Thorne
Mortuary. Rev. Harry Summers and Dr. G. Lemuel Fenn will officiate.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gabe Lucero, Tob Bell, Elmer Bailey,
Floyd Sanders, Henry Davis and Wallace Sparks. Entombment will be
made in Sunset Mausoleum.

C E Longley Dies in Morgan Co
McConnelsville - C Edward Longley, 69, died suddenly Tuesday
afternoon at his home here. He had been in failing health for the
past two years following a stroke of paralysis. For many years he
owned and managed a clothing store here. Mr. Longley was a member
of the M P Church and of the Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his widow,
one son, R K Longley and one grandson, Bob, of McConnelsville, and a
half-sister, Mrs. Lena Meissner, Zanesville. Masonic services will
be held Wednesday evening at the home. Funeral services will be held
Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home. Rev Charles Wees will
officiate. Burial will be here.

Edward Longley dies Suddenly at McConnelsville
Edward Longley, 70, retired clothing merchant and a lifelong citizen
of McConnelsville, died suddenly from a heart attack at 8 o'clock
Tuesday afternoon, at his home. He had been in failing health for
sometime but had appeared better for a few days. He was a member of
the Methodist Protestant church and the Oder of Masons. Surviving
are his widow, Mrs Dora Savage Longley, one son, Kenneth Longley, of
McConnelsville and a grandson Robert Longley and a half sister, Mrs
Lena Meissner, of Zanesville. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.
Mr Longley's son, R K Longley and wife and son Robert, were in
Columbus, when his death occurred. They were spending the day there,
on business.

Funeral services for C E Longley will be held at the home at 1 o'clock
Thursday afternoon, with Rev L S Wees officiating. Burial will be in
the McConnelsville cemetery.
