Benny B. Watts, 83
CROOKSVILLE - Benny B. Watts, 83, of 6820 Watts Hill Road, died at 9:51 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2005, at Somerset Care Center after an extended illness. He was born June 11, 1921, in Crooksville and was a former employee of Hull Pottery, Watt Pottery, Essex Wire and Knowlton Construction. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. His memberships include Ebenezer United Methodist Church of Roseville, Peerless Lodge 591 F & AM Crooksville and VFW Post 9090 Crooksville-Roseville. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Donna Faye Braglin Watts of the home; a daughter, Mary Jane (Wayne) Brown of Crooksville; two sons, Paul David (Joyce) Watts of Hastings, Fla., and Jerome (Peggy) Watts of Crooksville; two sisters, Evangeline Worthington of Crooksville and Katherine (Raymond) Warren of Michigan City, Ind.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Stella Oliver Watts; a grandson, Jonathon Wayne Brown; a sister, Nancy Ann Muckley; and four brothers, Phillip, Addison, Joe and Emmett Watts. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at the Goebel Funeral Home in Crooksville, where Peerless Lodge 591 will conduct services at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Carolyn Hoskinson officiating. Burial will follow in the Crooksville Cemetery with military honors.
